This post is part of the series “30-day trial: Authority–I am the boss of me”. Go to: Day 8 | Day 10

Tasks for Day #9 (November 1, 2009)

Chosen Tasks:

#1) Spend 30 minutes responding to email.

#2) Take a walk for at least 30 minutes.

#3) Make a “to do” list to prepare for the Master Cleanse.

Randomly picked article: Nasal Irrigation–due to be posted on Sunday November 1st.

Listen to Goal Setting CD

Random Strategy From Personal Development for Smart People: #13 Pareto-I need to focus my effort on the critical 20 percent that yields 80 percent of the value of a task.

Comments: I like the chosen strategy for tomorrow because it fits the overall theme of this 30-day trial which is to have my authority over self win out over perfection.

Day 9 Results

I did my goal getter hypnosis CD in the morning, shortly after waking up.

Not only did I take a walk in the morning, but I spent time raking leaves outside. It was a nice day and I am glad that I did not miss out. I used the 80/20 rule when in came to raking leaves. I do not need to scrap every last leaf of off the ground.

I spent well over 30 minutes responding to email today.

I made my “to do” list for my pre Master Cleanse tasks. I did this quick and dirty–no need for perfection. After reviewing my list, I came to the conclusion that it would be best to take Wednesday of off work. I can get all my shopping done and store any food that might otherwise go bad. My thought is to prepare food to be dehydrated by making yummy mixtures. Even if I have more loads of food than what can be dehydrated before the cleanse, I will have made the batters up ahead of time. I do not want to be tasting any food during the cleanse itself.

I have complete and posted the Nasal Irrigation article.
