Live Consciously: Expand Your Vision Beyond the Box of Ordinary Life
Last updated November 7, 2009
Hello and welcome to my website! The purpose of this website is to inspire you to think and live outside the box of ordinary life. I created this website in May 2008 when I had a unique opportunity to respond to a contest from my favorite blogger, Steve Pavlina. He wrote an article on How to be a Man and challenged his readers to write an article on How to be a Woman.
I consider it my life purpose to elevate the health of all living beings and to serve as a conduit where there is the illusion of separation. I am an explorer. I have made it my mission to seek out solutions to problems and create bliss and freedom. Through self-experimentation I get to lead by example in many areas of health, wellness and spirituality. In fact, at the time of this writing, I am on day 3 of the Master Cleanse. I currently eat a mostly raw vegan diet and I practice hypnosis almost every day. I have to thank Steve Pavlina. for introducing me to raw foods. Going raw was one of the best decisions I have ever made. If you are looking for a way to expand your own life beyond the box of ordinary life, then please visit my site often to get new ideas and inspiration.
Everybody has that one thing in life that they really struggle with. A theme that affects every aspect of their lives’. What is that for you? Have you ever given that any thought? For me that “one thing” is a great driver and motivator for me to explore all things health and wellness. I have a rare and misunderstood problem called 4S or Soft or Select Sound Sensitivity Syndrome. Dr. Marsha Johnson an audiologist from Portland Oregon coined the term. This problem has also been described as a form of sensory defensiveness. In a nutshell, I experience extreme discomfort when hearing sounds like gum chewing and breathing. This is a problem driven me to a multitude doctors, specialists, and mental health professionals throughout my life. It has also driven me to explore my diet, exercise habits, hypnosis, cognitive behavior therapy and much more.
I am happy to tell you that I have made an immense amount of progress in improving my life as a whole as well as dealing with my sound problem. The sound of breathing hardly bothers me anymore, although I am still working on the gum chewing. In fact I used to have OCD that was pretty severe, now I would say I still have OCD, but it is mild. The knowledge and skills that I have built up over many years can be applied to many areas. I particularly feel I have a special mission to provide useful information to other people who have 4S or are impacted by 4S and raise awareness about this problem.
